Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, grated onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides, then transfer them to the slow cooker.
  • Add minced garlic, beef broth, and the onion soup mix to the slow cooker. Stir gently to combine with the meatballs.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry, add to the slow cooker, stir and let it thicken.
